Fremont Street is a street in Galesburg. It runs east-west, and marks the 1200 block north.
The street runs from its western end at Highway 34 (where it turns into Township Road 169) to its eastern end at Interstate 74 (where it turns into 1700 N). Fremont has an interchange with Highway 34, but none with I-74.
West of Broad Street it is called West Fremont Street, and east of Broad Street it is called East Fremont Street.
Features
Fremont Street is a major thoroughfare in northern Galesburg. It is primarily residential, with some commercial access.
There are few items of regular interest to Knox students along Fremont Street. Silas Willard Elementary School is located just east of Seminary Street on Fremont.
