Kresge Science-Mathematics Library

The Science and Math Center library contains information about Science and Math. It is not open as late as Seymour Library, but it is open much more often than the Music Library.

The SMC Library, as it is colloquially referred to, is usually peopled by no more than 12-15 students at a time. No one has ever been upstairs, but it is rumored to have all of the articles you were looking for in that scientific journal, somewhere.

There are a total of 7 computer terminals, 3 of which are public, 4 of which are not.

Things that can be Checked out from SMC

  • The usual gamut of reserves and science books, as long as they're not reference or periodicals
  • Books from the Green Oak collection
  • Keys to the Darkroom
  • Keys to D203, the Oral Presentation lab
  • You can also reserve the Nixon Conference Room, A-212, but not on Wednesdays from 2:40 to 4, as it's already reserved. (The Nixon Conference Room has the unmistakable musk that accompanies intense scientific study, you know it's kind of like White Lithium grease, burnt capacitor, body odor, and a little bit of urea.)
