IMPORTANT NOTE: Pre-med is a tough choice regardless of where you go; at Knox, it will be especially rigorous, as already-tough classes like calculus and organic chemistry are sped up to an inhuman rate of 2/3rds of a year.
Classes That You WILL Have to Take
These classes are the cornerstones of both medical school and the MCAT that you'll need to take to get in.
- BIOL 110, BIOL 120, BIOL 130 (General Biology)
- CHEM 101, CHEM 102 (General Chemistry)
- CHEM 211, CHEM 212 (Organic Chemistry)
- PHYS 110, PHYS 120, PHYS 130/PHYS 130A (General Physics)
Classes That You MAY Have to Take
These classes vary from school to school; some might require none of these at all, while rigorous schools might require several. Out of all of these, the most likely to be required are College Writing and Calculus I.
