The Ronald E. McNair Program, more commonly known as the McNair Program or simply McNair, is an intensive fellowship program offered by Knox, organized under the Special Programs offerings of the Office of Academic Affairs. The program head is Director Sarah Moschenross. Associate Dean of the College Steve Bailey also has a significant role in administering the program.

The McNair program targets lower-income American students, specifically first-generation college students and students from underrepresented groups. At least ten students per class are selected. The program includes additional advising sessions and preparatory work for graduate school. The program culminates in a large research project.

Eligible students are invited to attend an informational session during winter term, and final selection is made at the end of that term.

The McNair Program office is located in SMC D207.
