Blessings in a Backpack is an organization run with the purpose of making sure no kid has to go hungry. Each week, the organization feeds up to 400 kids who rely on school lunches. Every year they run a big fundraising event called [[Blessings Brews and Blues]] at the restaurant [[Iron Spike]]. This event is its main fundraising opportunity for the year, the main way they make money is by selling their own drink [[Hopeful Hops]] and by running an auction. At the end of each term, students can donate unused apple swipes to the organization. Each apple swipe is equivalent to 10 apples that will go towards the kids.
