Maryland is a narrow state on the [[East Coast]] of the continental U.S. The only famous person to ever come from there is [[Spiro Agnew]]. Contrary to popular belief, Maryland is not a city in [[Washington, D.C.]], although it is its safety blanket. Much as people who live in [[Chicago]] [[suburbs]] claim to be from the city itself, Marylanders claim to be from Washington, D.C.

The state flower is the black-eyed Susan. The Orioles are terrible, and no one has cared about them since Cal Ripken left.

Maryland, like the rest of the east coast is a suburb of Mega-opolis/the east coast, the capital of which is New York City. Most people in Maryland are disgustingly rich and believe that the Midwest is the taint of America (they all think California is amazing however because other rich people live there, although they have never been and don't realize that it is populated by Latinos. They also think that since they live in Maryland, which is technically Mega-opolis, that Maryland must be awesome too because they live there (They are very conceited)).
