Every other year, twelve students embark on the most epic journey they may ever know. Traversing through the woods and tromping through the prairie, the students spend ten weeks exploring Knox's Biological Field Station, Green Oaks Biological Field Station. They immerse themselves in identifying the species around the field station, creating art they don't always understand, and whatever Jon's class is.

In the 2012 Spring Term Session, the best students participated. That is, Steve Galdek, Jamie Ruml, Carrie Stephen, Rika Stoller, Evelyn Langely, Alyssa Kennamar, Dani Hill, Molly Olson, Hannah Tochtop, Mya Kahler, Jesse sindler, and Jules Ohman. The program assistants are Eric Ballard and Zak Kahn.
