Robin Metz taught at Knox since before there was dust. He was the director of the Creative Writing program, and specialized in fiction, although he also wrote poetry and pretty much everything else. His full title was Philip Sidney Post Professor of English.

Robin had partied with your literary hero, even if your literary hero was Sophocles.

Robin Metz was married to Elizabeth Carlin-Metz.

Robin once flailed on the floor like a cockroach while trying to demonstrate his emotions during an FP, to the alarm of many young, wide-eyed freshman not yet fully vested in the Human Powered Experience. It will come as no surprise that many of these poor freshmen later transferred away from Knox.

Robin passed away in 2018. He is dearly, dearly missed.
