The SLC is colloquially known as 'slick,' possibly the best acronym pronunciation foible since the Committee to Re-Elect the President (CREEP). It is currently chaired by Dr. Elizabeth Carlin-Metz, and includes several administrators and faculty along with 4 students. The students on the committee are the Student Senate President and Communications Officer along with 2 student senators.

SLC is charged with a large number of student life related issues throughout the year. It is a necessary stepping stone for colonies wishing to become affiliated fraternities/sororities, as well as the final say on theme-housing each year. Recent issues include Sexual assault, the role of dean, institutional self-assessment, and the colleges party policy.
