A concern[edit]

The last paragraph of the article bothers me. It's needlessly mean, for one - and childish with the name-calling and being hopeful that the LARPers are virgins. Beyond that, I'm guessing that whoever wrote the bit about being generally disliked by English professors and suitemates didn't do anything resembling a survey of students and faculty to make their determination. So what's the solution? I'm not sure. I'm hesitant to change it outright just because I think it warrants a discussion. But at the same time, that last paragraph seems to be a useless attack on a group of people. So what do we do about it? Thoughts? I've also protected the page from further edits just to make sure nothing else like this gets posted until we've discussed how to handle it. Bill M. 22:18, 21 August 2008 (CDT)

I'll take it down. I am so sick of people making fun of LARPers. Insecure jerks, man. They just like to do something, and for a variety of reasons, that doesn't hurt anyone. And there are more of them than you think. So watch what you say, there may be a LARPer nearby who can get hurt. This never ceased to make me mad at Knox. Even professors would make jokes at their expense. Back off. Tfooq 09:29, 22 August 2008 (CDT)

I think that's the right call, Tom. You're absolutely right that people make fun of the LARPers unnecessarily. And I've also heard professors do it. Not cool at all. Bill M. 09:59, 22 August 2008 (CDT)

Don y'all harp on the LARP. User:Deirdre 9:32, 19 September 2008 (CDT)
