The original Roger Taylor Lounge was established in the Fall Term of 2003 by an act of the Student Senate. Senators Ben Maddox & Dan Lieberman introduced the proposal after being informed by Campus Security that their four times a week raids of the Sherwin-Neifert basement were due to the common area being classified as a public space. The two Senators, who were also the Official Nazi Hunter & Prime Minister of Testosterone of the Anti-Philosophy Club, felt that common areas fell under the jurisdiction of the Student Senate, and should be appropriately furnished, and requested funds be made available for the purchase of a pool table, foosball table, and air hockey table. Senator Hassan Massoud requested an amendment to the proposal that the new area be named the Roger Taylor Lounge, in honor of Knox's President. The amendment was accepted and the proposal passed unanimously.

In 2006, Act Out used the Roger Taylor Lounge as a rehearsal space.

Something unfortunately happened along the way, and the original Roger Taylor Lounge became the Roger Taylor "Room with a rickety table and equally rickety chairs and a Tv that probably does not work" Lounge. Signs of previously stated fun tables were non-existant.

On March 25th, 2011, Wallace Lounge was renamed the Roger Taylor Lounge and was re-opened after an entire term of renovation (made necessary by flood damage from the spring of 2007). The space features two pool tables, a foosball table, an air hockey table, several big-screen TVs and a Nintendo Wii. Needless to say, the place will be used much more from now on.

Also known as the "Rog Mahal" "Rog Lodge", and "Jolly Roger"

The creepy Neifert basement is now known as the "creepy Neifert basement," as the Roger Taylor Lounge of Seymour has stolen its thunder.
