Professor of Neuroscience since 2005, Esther has been published many times in reputable journals such as Science, and most recently Nature. Nevertheless, word of certain mishaps never seems to die, thanks to students like Andy Prendergast and Mark Munoz.

Methanol
In a Methods of Neuroscience class in Winter 2006, Esther used methanol in a nitrocellulose-based Western blotting procedure, destroying the blot.
