Past events[edit]
- In 2007, Shailja Patel came to speak, and the event was moved to the Aux Gym due to rain.
- In 2006, Folk singer/poet Alix Olson came to speak.
- In 2005, the event was co-sponsored by Tau Kappa Epsilon and was informally referred to as TKE Back the Night. Also, Bitch (formerly of Bitch and Animal) performed.
- In 2017, the event caused controversy as FIJI staged an impromptu "counter protest".
