Randall Smith was a professor of Political Science at Knox for the 2006-2007 school year. Referred to by many as the professor of love, he was unappreciated by the administration and not given permanent employment. He will be missed. DePauw had better appreciate him.
He received his BA from Quincy University, his MA from the University of Illinois at Springfield, and is currently wrapping up his PhD at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Smith appreciated the support he received from Knox students, even if it was not echoed by the administration in the granting of a permanent job. He enjoyed his time at Knox very much and hopes to keep in touch with his loyal following of students.
