After spending 1 million years at the Gizmo, Hazel has morphed into the humanoid squirrel we all know and love. You can find her speedwalking between Borzello Hall, Old Main, CFA, or her dorm, so you better be quick about it. She spends most of her time reading stuff, writing stuff, watching stuff, or perhaps playing someone's sister in a production directed by Elizabeth Carlin-Metz.
If you do talk to her, you will most certainly hear about her latest TV or podcast obsession, her high school, or her 9 foot tall boyfriend, Joe Biden. You'll also be locked into a conversation that's at least an hour long, with a Midwestern Goodbye initiated about one-quarter of the way through and being forgotten about the second she starts laughing or begins to Remember...
She's majoring in Literature and minoring in Dramatic Literature, which might seem like too much literature for one person, but if you think that you certainly haven't met Hazel. Barbara Tannert-Smith is her best friend in the whole wide world, as well as her super secret professor crush, and if she ever gets the chance to sit and drink wine with her she'll probably spontaneously combust before it ever happens.
She also gets forced into running publicity pretty often (such as for the Theatre Advisory Board or Rep Term XX, which sucks when she doesn't wanna, but she's pretty good at getting shit done!
Hazel also participated in The Tree-ening of Spring Term 2024, which was pretty cool.
