Line 1: Line 1:
The Caxton Club is devoted to the pursuit of literary questions, and sponsors an array of presenters, writers and poets each year. It is a student-run club that supports speakers invited by the English department and other groups on campus. At our readings, the featured presenter reads from his or her own work and then answers questions from both Knox faculty and students. Everyone is welcome to attend Caxton Club readings, and publicity is campus wide. In this way, Caxton Club encourages the literary discourse of Knox College and enhances each student’s education. We support approximately eight to ten readings a term. Moreover, one to three times a year, the members of Caxton Club issue an invitation to a literary figure of their choice, and organize the entire event.
