plays in the drum-synth duo Ree-Yees with Eric Ratzel... Ree-Yees has recently returned from the from the planet Kinyen. Ree-Yees divides its time between taking pictures with a special-camera, suited for his triple-eyed vision, and playing drums. Settling on Earth in the year 2006, Ree-Yees decided to form a band. Teaming up with several humans in this endeavor, Ree-Yees developed a sound that combined African polyrhythms with the sounds of the distant galaxies he'd collected over the years. The result is a fast paced, shamanistic seance, speckled with sutra-vortexes, blackholes, and the intermittent skirl of modular synthesizers. Over the years, Ree-Yees has had the opportunity to play several times with the Rhode Island based noise-duo, Lightning Bolt, and are spending the winter preparing an intergalactic tour back to Kinyen, to play at the annual Gran-Fest, held there each year, after the ceremonial cannibal-apocaplyse, where all Grans present a special holocaust of domesticated animals to their Sun God, RA.
