A student who earns a Grade Point Average of 3.45 or higher for a term gets on the Dean's List for that term.
A letter is sent to the student and the student's parents notifying them of the recognition, but the most you could hope to use the letter for is a reduction in car insurance. And maybe a page in the scrapbook, if your Mom is especially industrious.
