Heather Kopec

Heather is beautiful, even when she's a fighting duck.

Heather is a student at Knox College, and plans to graduate in 2010 if all goes according to plan...and believe me, she DOES have a plan (and that plan changes on a term-by-term basis around the same topics)

Personal Habits

Heather likes to shop. In fact, she has more shoes than anyone else I know...this alone almost scored her a starring role on Sex and the City, but Heather had to decline the job because she was too busy with student senate, and swim team. It can also be argued that Heather has the best fashion sense at Knox. This is not only because she makes her own jewelry, but also becuase she has a clever ability to look good in anything.

Hobbies and Activities

Heather makes her own jewelry. Not like the crappy kind that little kids make because they're too cheap to buy something for their moms, but really cool necklaces and earings that you would see priced for $10 at Claire's or something. And they all match her extensive wardrobe.

Heather is also on Student Senate. I don't really know what she does there, but she seems to like it a lot.

Another thing that Heather likes is swimming. Heather is, in fact, a very fast and skilled swimmer, but no one at Knox really knows this because her health status is in a constant state of "injured", so she rarely practices. We were able to glimpse her greatness at the 2007 conference meet when she swam the 200yd breaststroke slow, and still made top 15. She has had surgery since to correct her shoulder problem, and hopes to compete for real in the 2007/08 season, which may mean good things for Knox Swimming.

Heather is a "Greek". By this I mean that she is in a Greek organization. First, there is APO, which I guess stands for something Greek. She does a lot of volunteer work in this orginization. For 2008-2009 she is the Alpha Phi Omega (APO) President!

Further, Heather is involved in lots of other social activities at Knox. She regularly begs for money from alums during the phone-a-thon, and gets paid the best wages at Knox for this. Even more than burger flippers and dishwashers (who probably work a lot harder). She also loves children (for breakfast, with ketchup), which is why she regulary participates in Big Brother/Big Sister, a community service organization to help poor kids. Heather's kids always mysteriously disappear for some reason which may or may not involve ketchup.

If that wasn't enough she is also a Knox Ambassador and an Admissions TeleAmbassador. To round out the realm of overachieving she is also a student Athletic Trainer.

Academic Status

Heather is, finally offically (it's a long story), a Spanish major, but this may change, as she also wants to independent major and some minors in Latin American Studies and ceramics. Unfortunately for Heather, Knox has a two limit major so she will have to choose from her list of like 20 things to appease the deans.

Heather is also studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina - a small city between Mexico and Brazil, for the 2007 Fall Term. She backpacked western and southern Argentina where she visited the end of the inhabitale world, literally. She was less than 500 miles from Antartica. Can you say you were that close? I think not. To be even more kick-ass she went to Chile, Peru, and Bolivia, alone for a month.

No worries, she is back at Knox safely and making it a wonderful place!!
