Some of the sects include Schwartzentruber, New Order Amish, Old Order Amish, and the Beachy sect. Some sects will go without any modern conveniences, while others choose to incorporate some modern technology in their daily lives (hence the Amish riding the trains). Refusal of such luxuries as TV's usually isn't so much of a religious issues than it is a family issue. TV limits interactions and time spent with loved ones.

Amish sects vary from church to church, as there is no central governing body as there is in the Catholic Church. Some of the sects include Schwartzentruber, New Order Amish, Old Order Amish, and the Beachy sect. Some sects will go without any modern conveniences, while others choose to incorporate some modern technology in their daily lives (hence the Amish riding the trains).
