Roy Andersen is not anymore the Chair of the Economics Department (Stout is now the chair) and the Charles W. and Arvilla S. Timme Professor of Economics. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois in 1972. His interests include microeconomics, international economics, and development. He is married to Corine Andersen.

He and Bob Seibert once accompanied the Model Arab League to Cairo, Egypt.

If you have the opportunity to take one of his classes, you should definitely do so. Notable quirks include abandoning class after five minutes on a routine basis, long tangential rants, and a consistent tendency to refer to himself in third person.
