Spanish department

The Knox College Spanish Department is located in GDH.

While many 100 and 200 level Spanish language and literature classes are offered on a consistent basis, this department yields surprisingly fewer majors than to be expected. This can be partially attributed to students who wish to forgo actual fluency and simply add “el” to the beginning and “o” to the end of any English word in hopes that it will "get the point across."

Spanish majors are encouraged to study abroad and often participate in the Knox Program Abroad in Barcelona or Buenos Aires.
