The Flaming Angel was a young woman in Pi Phi who lived at 167 South West Street several decades ago. Flaming Angel's electric blanket caught fire; as she tried to carry ot out of the house, she dropped it on the stairs, increasing the size of the fire. She retreated to a closet on the second floor of her residence, where she died of smoke inhalation. She is an honorary member of GAA(A!)
