Most instructions for setting up email can be found here: Knox E-Mail Setup
However they only include instructions for Thunderbird. While these instructions translate to most other email clients, Apple Mail requires the following settings for Off-Campus SMTP:
- Authentication: Password
- SSL: Yes
- Port: 587
Many students simply prefer to skip the Knox email system entirely (it sucks) by forwarding their email to another account (GMail is popular).
