An interstate highway is a road that is part of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Interstate Highway System. They are used for automotive travel between distant locations. According to Jonathan Pierce-Ruhland, having a CB is to be considered a prerequisite for any interstate travel, due to the high volume of truck traffic that is to be found on interstates.
