Julia knows who put the bop in the bop shoo bop shoo bop. It was her.

She can often be found in her room in Campbell-Elder4 listening to Abe Lyman, The Dorsey Brothers and Bill Haley (often at the same time), twirling her hair vigorously while reading Emily Post. Consequently, she always puts a napkin on her lap, asks "pardon?" instead of "huh?", and understands that men lead the way down the aisle of a theatre to find seats unless an usher is taking tickets at the head of the aisle (In such a situation, the woman follows the usher.)

Julia is an 73 year old woman. She was born in 1936. Her body stopped developing at age 19 and here she is today. Her humor is dark and dry (deadpan, if you will). This, combined with demureness, leads her to fail to acknowledge the existence of those around her regardless of familiarity. This does not mean she dislikes you - it just takes her a while to warm up to people. She really is quite fun. Despite the aforementioned characteristic, Julia feels an utterly uncanny connection with Daisy Buchanan from F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel, The Great Gatsby - a book she reads ritualistically. Utterly uncanny.

Julia likes Banana Laffy Taffy, hemlock trees and Wes Anderson films. She is from Detroit, so watch ya back.

Julia idolizes Louise Brooks and Colleen Moore.

Julia is better than you.

Julia will hereafter be known as la femme Abe. Even though women shouldn't define themselves by men. And even though that isn't really proper French. Or proper anything.
