Adult Swim refers to the programming of Cartoon Network after 10 PM. Most adult swim shows are comedic and carry far more mature content than daytime programming, and are intended to be watched mostly by older audiences, often stoned. Common examples of popular adult Swim shows are: Aqua Teen Hunger Force- Noted for having placed the city of Boston under a terrorist watch because of movie ads Futurama- By the same people who made the Simpsons, but racier and funnier Family Guy- Moved to adult swim after being canceled by FOX The Boondocks- Aaron McGruder's anime adaptation of his comic strip The Venture Bros.- Johnny Quest off of antidepressants, with frequent David Bowie references Robot Chicken- Seth Green's claymation sketch masterpiece Metalocalypse- This is Spinal Tap, reduced to 10 minutes with deth metal instead of hair, and a higher body count

Adult Swim also carries a number of dubbed English anime series.


Contrary to popular belief, one does not have to be high in order to enjoy adult swim.
