The Kinsey Scale was developed by Dr. Alfred Kinsey, that charts an individual's orientation on an axis between "Entirely Heterosexual," and Entirely Homosexual." The scale disregards individuals as being either straight or gay, but rather somewhere in between.

Knox College gives a much better example of the scale than most places.
