He currently serves as the Production Chair on the Board of Directors for the Maplewood Barn Community Theatre in Columbia, Missouri.
His Ph.D work is in the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Missouri. His research focuses on autoimmunity. He studies a mouse model of multiple sclerosis called Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis (EAE).
