Burlington, IA

Burlington is a somewhat comparable city to Galesburg, only it has a big river and cliffs. It's about 45 miles from Galesburg down US Route 34. The town is home to the Burlington Bees, a minor-league affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and a favorite of the Knox Jazz program. Many games feature "Dollar Days", in which admission, beer, and hot dogs, each cost a dollar. You will have a lot of fun, but your digestive system might not be happy with you. The California Zephyr stops and crosses the Mississippi River here.
