Talk:Campus Safety

While I am unfamiliar with the details of the reported May 16 event, the Good Samaritan policy only applies to students who are trying to help other students (Thus, "Good Samaritan"). If the police were called on a drunk student outside those circumstances, I don't think the policy is violated.

While I'm not sure any of these occurrences actually constitute misconduct, it is very important for the campus at large to know about things like this. I just don't want to see this turn into a place where everyone can slap up every little qualm they have about security.

Well, there is the fact that administrative intransigence has as yet prevented the Good Samaritan Policy from being officially implemented, at least as I've last heard. Aside from that, I think it's important that students be able to log their concerns about Campus Safety conduct, just as Campus Safety can log its concerns about student conduct. I suppose the question for me is whether it is best placed on the Campus Safety page or whether a special dedicated page is needed for the issue. Camozzi 04:55, 23 May 2008 (CDT)
