Editing Lo Nuestro


    The purpose of Lo Nuestro is to provide a forum where Latinos/as along with any other 

student are encouraged to promote Latino culture on campus; to provide Latino/as the means to 

preserve and develop their identity while receiving an education; to increase and promote 

cultural awareness of the Latino/a presence at Knox and in society; to define the 

characteristics which make Latino/as as multiracial and often heterogeneous group 

of people; to discuss the Latino/a collective identity and reinforce the links of language, 

tradition, origin that unite Latino/as; and to be the catalyst for positive change by 

serving as a community outreach organization with the goal of uplifting Latino/as in the 

surrounding Knox College community.
