== Yvonne Ramirez ==

Yvonne Ramirez is a student at [[Knox College]], majoring in [[Computer Science]] and planning to graduate in [[2008]].  She's originally from [[Colorado]] and came to Knox because of its excellent reputation in [[Creative Writing]], which she later decided not to pursue.  Her interests include [[computer science]], [[music]], [[RPG]] tabletops, heath and fitness, and pagan religions.

=== Sigma Alpha Iota ===
Yvonne rushed [[Sigma Alpha Iota]] in winter term and was initiated in April 2005.  Since then, she has held the following positions:<br>

=== Knox College Choir ===
Although she was not in the [[Knox College Choir]] her [[First-year]], Yvonne joined just in time to tour [[Barcelona]] in Spring 2006.  She was the publicity chair for choir board from 2006 - 2007, and has performed in over 20 concerts with the choir - including, most recently, Beethoven's Mass in C.

=== Catch ===
In 2006, Yvonne became the online editor for [[Catch]] magazine, charged with the tedious task of putting the previous 4 issues online as well as updating the site with current issues.  While the new issues are available, it is likely that those past 4 issues will remain a secret to all but those who hold the paper copy.

=== CTL Tutor ===
Yvonne has been tutoring [[computer science]] for the [[Center for Teaching and Learning]] since fall 2006.  She recently received her CRLA Level 1 certification and is working on Level 2, to be completed by the end of spring 2007.  In her first year of tutoring, she accumulated over 55 hours of tutoring time for students in the introductory CS classes.  At the CTL banquet on May 6, 2007, she was honored with the "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria" award, which she suspects was made up by [[Jane Varakin]] at 3:30 in the morning after lots of coffee.

=== Mortar Board ===
On May 1, 2007, Yvonne was inducted in [[Mortar Board]].  She was also voted onto the executive board as the Technology Guru and will be updating the [[Morter Board]] website next year.

== Future Plans ==
Yvonne will be studying abroad in [[Barcelona]] in Fall 2007, to complete her [[Spanish]] [[minor]].  She is also currently undertaking College [[Honors]] and will complete her research when she returns... hopefully.
