Editing Brooks Street

'''Brooks Street''' is a street in [[Galesburg]].  It runs east-west, and marks the 500 block south.

The street runs from the western end shortly west of [[Harding Street]] to the eastern end where it meets [[Grand Avenue]].  Brooks Street has several gaps in its right-of-way, most notably where it would cross the Knox campus and the [[Burlington Northern Santa Fe]] mainline track (although it does form the driveway to [[CFA]] and the [[Memorial Gym]]).  The other gap is a small area between [[Henderson Street]] and [[St. Joseph Road]].

West of Broad Street it is called West Brooks Street, and east of Broad Street it is called East Brooks Street.

==Features==
Brooks is the access road for the [[Memorial Gym]] and [[CFA]], and abuts those as well as [[Old Phi Delt House]], [[Blodgett Field]], and the [[softball field]].

Except in the area around Knox College, Brooks Street is primarily residential.
