A geek is a person who has an unusually high level of interest in something. Most often the subject of interest is rather esoteric.
The term is usually derogatory. Some might say that geek is the opposite of jock.
Some people contend that everyone at Knox is a geek about something.
There are many types of geeks. A few examples are:
- Star Wars geeks
- Role Playing Game Geeks
- Music geeks
- sports geeks (rarely used)
- car geeks
- Sci-fi geeks
- comic book geeks
- drug geeks
- SMC Rats
