By the power vested in me, by the Knox College Students, Administration, past Guardians of the Mud Pit, and by Lincoln, I solemnly swear that I will dig and protect the Mud Pit under all conditions. By my shovel, I will use honor and love in order to protect the tradition of the Mud Pit.
