Many bands have played at Knox. Some of them were brought to campus by formal organizations, such as Union Board or WVKC. Others were the effort of an individual, such as Chris Ternes.
Master list of bands
- circa 1980's: REM
- Fall 1998: Bim Skala Bim plays during the First-Year Orientation weekend.
- Spring 1999: Sarge/The Velouria Beat
- Fall 1999: Go Ask Brian/The Love Bees
- Winter 2000: The Promise Ring/Camden/Bigalow
- Spring 2000: Union Board holds "VergeFest" in the Seymour basement. Included on the bill were Green Scene, Elizabeth Elmore, The Essex Green, The Stereo, and Poster Children. The Apples in Stereo were scheduled to headline, but had to cancel due to drummer Hilarie Sidney's pregnancy.
- Fall 2000: Rachel's/Matmos
- Spring 2001: The Anniversary
- Spring 2001: The Apples in Stereo/Elizabeth Elmore/The National Splits

- Winter 2002: Union Board and WVKC sponsors Hard Knox Hip-Hop, featuring El-P, Aesop Rock, RJD2, and others. The show is subject to some controversy when promoters are forced to charge non-students a cover, due to the head planner's failure to secure enough funding to make the show free as advertised.
- Winter 2002: Bitch and Animal
- Winter 2002: The Guns of Navarone/Horseshoes for Handgrenades/another band/another band. These four bands, with a number of overlapping members, comprise the entirety of the Alton, IL math-rock scene. After the show, they go on to crash Bryce Porter's birthday party, failing to dress up as Bryce.
