Bands That Played at Knox

Many bands have played at Knox. Some of them were brought to campus by formal organizations, such as Union Board or WVKC. Others were the effort of an individual, such as Chris Ternes.

- 1998 Fall: Bim Skala Bim (Played during the First-Year Orientation weekend.)
- 1999 Spring Sarge, The Velouria Beat
- 1999 Fall: Go Ask Brian, The Love Bees
- 2000 Winter: The Promise Ring, Camden, Bigalow
- 2000 Spring: Union Board held "VergeFest" in the Seymour basement. Included on the bill were Green Scene, Elizabeth Elmore, The Essex Green, The Stereo, and Poster Children. The Apples in Stereo were scheduled to headline, but had to cancel due to drummer Hilarie Sidney's pregnancy.
- 2000 Fall: Rachel's, Matmos
- 2001 Spring: The Anniversary
- 2001 Spring: The Apples in Stereo, Elizabeth Elmore, The National Splits
- 2001 Fall: The Molemen, Josh Martinez, among others.
- 2002 Winter: Union Board and WVKC sponsored "Hard Knox Hip-Hop", featuring El-P, Aesop Rock, RJD2, and others. The show was subject to some controversy when promoters were forced to charge non-students a cover, due to the head planner's failure to secure enough funding to make the show free as advertised. Bitch and Animal played later in the term. The Guns of Navarone, Horseshoes for Handgrenades, and two other bands played even later in the term. These four bands, with a number of overlapping members, comprised the entirety of the Alton, IL math-rock scene. After the show, they crashed Bryce Porter's birthday party, failing to dress up as Bryce.

- 2004 Fall: Decemberists, Apollo Sunshine, Norfolk and Western, Troubled Hubble, Matt Sharp, Golden Boy
- Winter 2005: Bitch (of Bitch and Animal), brought in by SASS for Take Back the Night.
- 2006 Year: Deerhoof, Nedelle, Jason Webley, Ad Astra Per Aspera, SPASS
