Physics major Charlie Brown's interpretation of Prof. Schulz

Professor Charles E. Schulz is the current physics department chair. He is a Knox graduate of 1972 and has been teaching here since 1981.

Education

  • Ph.D., Physics, 1979, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
  • M.S., Physics, 1973, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
  • B.A., Physics, magna cum laude, 1972, Knox College

Research

Courses

As with the other faculty, there are several courses that Schulz appears to prefer teaching. These include

  • PHYS-120 Heat, Waves, and Light
  • PHYS-205 Modern Physics
  • PHYS-241 Intro to Research
  • PHYS-316 Astrophysics
  • PHYS-345 Senior Seminar in Analytical Mechanics
