What are reusable pads?

Reusable pads are just like maxi pads, except they are made with fabric instead of non-biodegradable, synthetic materials. Instead of adhesive, the wings of the pad snap under a pair of underware. (I don't know about you but I hate it when a pube gets stuck to pad adhesive! Ouch!) When the pad is dirty simply throw it in the washer. The blood will not stain other items that you wash with them. Reusable pads come in all shapes, sizes and colors! You can make your own or buy them online.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Better for the environment
  • Can be custom fit to your body type and flow
  • Way cuter!
  • Can find them in organic and eco-sustainable fabrics
  • More comfortable
  • More affordable than disposables

Cons

  • Haven't thought of one so far!
