The Big Gay Conference 2007 was held in Minneapolis at the University of Minnesota in February. The full title of the conference is the Midwest Bisexual Lesbian Gay Transgender Ally College Conference but because of this cumbersome name has been formally nicknamed "Alphabet Soup" and informally nicknamed "Big Gay Conference" by Knox students. The theme of this year's conference was "Alphabet Soup: No Matter the Letter We Stand Together." The keynote speaker was bi-activist Robyn Ochs and the star performer was commedienne Margaret Cho.
Conference participants attended workshops, caucuses, performances, and parties. Some Knox students complained that the motto, "no matter the latter we stand together," was not successfully actualized by the conference. Others had a jolly time.
