Shakespeare is a famous dead fellow whose work is commonly performed and studied at Knox College. Most recently, the Department of Theater and Dance produced the pastoral comedy As You Like It in Spring 2006. A small-cast production of Hamlet is slated for the mainstage in Spring 2008.
At Knox, Shakespeare study is divided into two courses: "Tragedies and Romances" and "Histories and Comedies." The courses are taught by Lori Haslem, chair of the English Department.
