The Galesburg Public Library is fairly small and unremarkable, as public libraries go. It is, however, another place to go when [[Seymour Library|Seymour]] fails to meet your fiction needs. It has a very nice children's section, though if you hang out there too long, you might start to feel like a [[creeper]].

To get a library card, bring your Knox ID and an ID or driver’s license (if you have one) to the main desk at the public library (it’s FREE). Their hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 9 am-8 pm, and Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, 9 am-5 pm. They are closed on Sundays and some holidays. The library is just a few blocks from campus (it is on the way to Casey’s and if that’s not motivation, idk what is.) After years of funding, the library was rebuilt at 264 W Main St. It now looks like it belongs in a big city and is one of the best buildings in Galesburg (I may be biased.) The children’s section is also worth checking out once, just let the staff know you haven’t been there before so they don’t ask you why you're an unaccompanied adult in the children's section. It’s also worth noting you can check out children’s books too, because let's be real, who has time to read a whole ass book.

Many resources are here, including printing, games/puzzles, events, movies, music, and of course, books. Volunteer opportunities are also often available. Sometimes you can find books for classes here instead of paying your hard-earned money to TextbookX.com. You can also Reserve a room to study or whatever you so wish.

The library is just a few blocks from campus (it is on the way to Casey’s and if that’s not motivation, idk what is.) Please act like a decent human because the library staff are some of the most reasonable people in Galesburg.
