Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones is a Democratic U.S. congresswoman representing Ohio's 11th district, which includes Cleveland and Shaker Heights. She is best known on the Knox campus for her appearance on C-SPAN, in which a frozen frame of her face, in an embarrassing pose, was stuck on Knox's C-SPAN transmission for the better part of Spring 2007. The audio broadcast was unaffected, so one could listen to Raul Grijalva get through the morning's unanimous consent bills while Rep. Jones' face burned a hole in one's retinas.
Some say that if you stare into a mirror and repeat her name over and over again, a drop of pure human dignity will trickle down the mirror. This has yet to be replicated in a laboratory environment.
Rep. Jones passed away August 20th, 2008. She will be missed.
