Studio Theatre is a student run black box theatre space located in the basement of CFA. All Studio Theatre shows are student directed and designed, except for an occasional guest performance.
This space is governed by the Theatre Advisory Board. Each term, TAB reviews student petitions for shows and sets the performance schedule for the term.
Studio Theatre shows have included plays, improv, experimental shows, and guest performers from off campus.
Depending on the term, TAB may receive more or fewer petitions, and as a result the quality of shows in Studio Theatre varies widely. However, the best shows in Studio Theatre are often considered to be better than some main stage, faculty directed shows.
The Fall 2007 Shows for Studio Theatre are: Andrea's Got Two Boyfriends (by David Willinger), Vinegar Tom (by Caryl Churchill), and The Bacchae (by Euripides).
