The purpose of this page is to achieve consensus on various housekeeping and administrative issues that arise as we continue to develop and grow The Wiki Fire.

Spam

The spam problem is worsening, and I for one am getting tired of rolling this stuff back three or four times a day. As the site becomes more popular, this is only going to get worse. So what can we do to solve this? I think that maybe we should explore going to a registered-user-only policy. I don't think it would put legitimate users out too much to have to register and sign in (seriously, it's not hard and we're not restrictive), and it would prevent most (if sadly not all) of the current spam issues.
