Kansas is right smack dab in the middle of the United States. It spawns several Knox students each year.

The western half of the state bears an uncanny topographical resemblence to eastern Colorado. The eastern half of Kansas was the original inspiration for Missouri, but then Missouri screwed up and created Branson, which really kind of ruined the whole concept. Regardless, despite being known as "flat as a pancake", eastern Kansas is actually covered with beautiful rolling hills. Even Kansanas come to Knox and bitch about how flat Illinois is.

The easiest way to verify that someone is from Kansas is to make a Wizard of Oz joke. If the person rolls their eyes and has to force a smile, they are probably from Kansas. Kansans HATE The Wizard of Oz.
