Early Life, Upbringing, and General Information[edit]
Alex Braun was born May 16, 1988 to Marc Braun and RoseAnn Feldman. Marc, more commonly know as "Daddy Braun," has worked as a lawyer and business consultant... but that's not all! He was also the chess team chaperone at his son's high school where he acquired the aforementioned nick-name. RoseAnn, known in her profession, as "The Hammer," is also a respected lawyer. It is largely because of this background that Alex aspires to, one day, become a lawyer herself. Those who make malicious "lawyer jokes," or any other such negative implications about lawyers, will feel the wrath of Alexandra Ariel Braun. She is very proud of her lawyer genes - both her hereditary ones, and her denim ones, (which have yet to be made by her friends Erin Coleman, Sarah Williams, and Ally Rashid, but will be at some point).
A little known fact about Alex is that before she decided to become a lawyer, she wanted to be a chef, a vet, and... the actress to play Princess Leia in Star Wars. At the age of approximately seven, she was already rehearsing by wearing large earmuffs and parading in front of her parents.
Little is known by Erin Coleman (who is writing this brief WikiFire biography), about Alex's other childhood dreams. Alex's rabbi, however, once told her that it would be a waste of her natural talent if she did not find a future career that would allow her to utilize her speaking voice. It is safe to assume that this comment was not unfounded.
Another notable fact, which is evident to all of those who have known Alex for more than an hour, is that she is Jewish. If you are looking for some delicious fried Matza, or need some instruction on how to properly pronounce, or for that matter spell, "l'chaim," she's the one to talk to.
Adolescence and High School[edit]
Alex obtained her primary and secondary education at Mary Institute Country Day Scool (MICDS) - probably the only school in the nation where the female pupils wear wedding dresses to graduation.
During her high school years she was an intregal part of the leadership of Temple Isreal Federation of Temple Youth (TIFTY), a branch of the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY), which is pretty..... NFTY.
She also participated in basketball, golf and swim team.
In the Present[edit]
Alex is a a junior at Knox. She spent Fall term 2008 studying in bonny Scotland. She lives in Drew with such notable people as Erin Coleman, who is possibly the greatest person on earth. She is a member of the Knox swim team, and also participates in Hillel and ballroom dancing.
Alex's brother, Jacob Braun, also attends Knox.
