ENG 307 is better known as Fiction Workshop.

While not a requirement of creative writing majors and minors, nor a prerequisite like 207 (Beginning Fiction Writing), many creative writers take at least one fiction workshop at Knox—even those more committed to playwriting/screenwriting, poetry, or nonfiction.

A few current and past instructors include Chad Simpson, Cyn Kitchen, Barbara Tannert-Smith, Sherwood Kiraly, Robin Metz, Gina Franco, and others. Most creative writing and English dept. faculty have taken on a fiction workshop at some point.

Fiction workshops are often taught based on the expertises of the professors leading them, so it's worth asking about the flavor of the upcoming workshop before registration. It could be 100% flash fiction, or include an element of single-author study, or something else.
