Chemistry genius who imbibes a concerning amount of cheap coffee. Her classes will generally make you want to cry, both in and out of the classroom. Her teaching style consists of telling you every single fact about every biochemical pathway known to man and expecting you know it all by the next test. Some weekends, she reads up on educational theories and then spends the coming Monday making you draw things on the board based on what she learned. There is a direct positive correlation between the number of articles she read and the number of tears you will shed.

Keeping all of this in mind, Kirkley's classes are wonderful and will make subsequent grad and medical school courses seem easy. Also, if you ask nicely, she'll pay you a quarter when you turn your paper in.

Years at Knox: a long fucking time.

Classes[edit]

Kirkley's baby and life-long love is immunology. She also teaches courses such as Molecular Medicine and Biochemistry I/II. Sometimes, unsuspecting freshmen sign up for a CHEM 101 course with her. It's the first and last time they take chemistry.
